Motorcyclist Killed near Craig Ranch Regional Park

An accident has killed a motorcyclist near a park on Friday afternoon.

According to the North Las Vegas Police Department, the accident took place at about 3:15 p.m. on West Craig Road at Revere Street, near Craig Ranch Regional Park.

It seemed that the 31 year old motorcyclist collided with Ford F 250 who was pulling a trailer. Police said that the Ford, driven by a 35 year old male, was driving eastbound on Craig Road when it made a lane change, hit the side of the motorcycle causing the driver to fall off.

The motorcycle rider was Benjamin Roberts, of Dallas and he was pronounced dead at the scene. According to the Clark County Coroner’s Office the cause of death was blunt force head and chest trauma as a result of a motor vehicle accident.

Police said it is likely the 35-year-old driver of the truck will face charges pending the outcome of the investigation.
