Man and Woman Die in Three Vehicle Collision

On Monday evening, February 1, a man and a woman died in a three vehicle collision in North Las Vegas.

According to Nevada Highway Patrol the accident happened shortly after 5.40 p.m. on the northern 215 Beltway, in the westbound lanes, just east of the Aliante Parkway exit.

Initially two cars, a Lexus and a Buick, hit each other head on, and then a Chrysler car hit the wreckage. At this time it is not clear which of the vehicles crossed the center line and caused the collision. Following the collision the Lexus, being driven by 38 year old Tracy Michael Simpson, of Las Vegas flipped and the male driver died. The driver of the Buick, 48 year old Maria Dennis of Las Vegas, was transported to University Medical Center where she too died.

The two people inside the Chrysler, a male and a female were also taken to University Medical Center with minor injuries.

The crash is still under investigation.
