Motorcyclist Killed in Hit and Run

On Saturday, October 3, a motorcyclist was killed in a hit and run incident.

According to Las Vegas police the crash happened shortly after 10 p.m. near Charleston Boulevard and Sacramento Drive. Witnesses said that a Hummer H2 was turning left from westbound Charleston onto Sacramento in front of a motorcycle and the motorcycle ran straight into it. Following the impact both the motorcyclist, 21 year old Victor Alejandro Gonzalez of Las Vegas, and his passenger were ejected. The motorcyclist died at the scene of multiple blunt force injuries and the passenger was taken to University Medical Center with critical injuries.

The Hummer driver, described as Hispanic and with short hair, left the scene without helping but he left his passenger, 23 year old Claribel Zabola behind suffering from minor injuries.

Police as still looking for the driver of the Hummer and this was the 81st traffic-related fatality in Metro’s jurisdiction for this year.
