Accident Involving DUI Kills a Man

On Saturday morning at the beginning of February, an accident involving a DUI led to the death of a man.

According to the Nevada Highway Patrol, the accident happened shortly before 1.30 in the morning when 26 year old Vincent Bushhead from Moapa was driving a white 1992 BMW coupe eastbound on Glendale/Moapa Road which is also known as State Route 168. The car then went into the westbound lanes but Bushhead overcorrected and lost control of the car. The car then spun and ran off the side of the road, rolling over and came to rest when it hit an embankment.

His passenger, 35 year old David Lee was not wearing a seat belt and he was ejected from the car. He was declared dead at the scene. Bushhead and another passenger, a 19 year old male, were taken to University Medical Center, but the severity of their injuries is unknown.

Bushhead was then booked into the Clark County jail on multiple charges, including DUI resulting in death and failure to drive on the right side of the road.
